Berkeley Aquatics
One of the crown jewels on Berkeley’s stunning, 86-acre campus is the eight-lane, 25-yard, temperature-controlled Michael G. Cantonis Pool, which also has a diving area. Due to Tampa’s weather, it’s used year-round in a variety of ways.
Berkeley’s Swimming & Diving Team uses the pool for practices and competitions. Students in Physical Education classes (even those as young as pre-kindergarteners) and campers in Berkeley Summer Programs utilize the Swim America program to learn how to swim and become more proficient at various strokes. The Berkeley Barracudas, an after-school club for both Berkeley and non-Berkeley students, is another group that regularly swims on campus. Find out more below.
