Parents’ Athletic Association

The PAA is a parent run organization which aids the AHA administration in identifying needs, funding, and improving athletics and the overall AHA community.

PAA Projects & Annual Awards

Each year the funds generated, primarily by the Hall of Fame Dinner, are dedicated to a project either small or large to benefit AHA. Past projects included:

  • Athletic field flag & flag pole

  • Tennis court refurbishment

  • Renovation of the athletic field

  • Trophy cabinets

  • New AHA golf bags

  • Basketball & cheerleading uniforms

  • Trainer’s treatment tables

  • Microwaves for the cafeteria

  • Golf cart

  • New gym bleachers

  • New scoreboard in the gym

  • Gym wall pads

  • Scorer’s table

  • Players’ bench chairs for the gym

  • Gym foyer benches

  • Memorial benches in honor of beloved track Coach Andrew Capizzi

  • Many new items in use on the new turf field including soccer goals & flags, softball backstop & bases, and new pit mats for long & high jumps

  • New sound system in the gymnasium 


Additionally, each year the PAA funds:

  • Prestigious Angel Award for $1500

  • Two Salvatore J. Zisa Memorial Scholarships for $1000

  • Sports Photographer & Senior Video
