International Students

International Student Application Process

Non-U.S. citizen or non-U.S. permanent resident

Holy Angels welcomes international students from all over the world into 9th and 10th grade. In recent years, our international students have come to AHA from Korea, China, and Botswana! To ensure a smooth transition, both academically and socially, international students may apply for a September start date only (mid-year requests cannot be accommodated). Students are required to attend New Student Orientation and Technology Training in August to help with this transition.

TOEFL

International students whose native language is not English are required to take the TOEFL. This is to ensure students possess a strong, working knowledge of the English language to help them succeed in their classes at AHA. A score of 24 or higher on all sections of the TOEFL is required to be considered for admission.

  • TOEFL Junior or any other test of the English language is NOT accepted.

  • International students may be required to enroll in additional ESL courses once their English skills can be fully assessed by our teachers in a classroom setting and school environment. Families are responsible for any costs associated with ESL classes or tutoring.

The admissions committee uses TOEFL scores in addition to the required application steps outlined in the links below when reviewing applicant files:
