Travel Opportunities

The world becomes a classroom as Holy Angels’ students travel to Europe, Asia, South America and throughout the continental US. These trips afford an opportunity for students to practice conversational skills, engage in service missions, or simply be immersed in architecture, art, music and literature. 

 

  • Critical Thinking study abroad program in England at Oxford University during Easter break.
  • Biennial Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation Poetry Festival, at NJ PAC in Newark.
  • Trips sponsored by the World Language department have taken Angels to France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Croatia and the Netherlands.
  • Students and faculty have taken part in Operation Smile mission trips to Jordan, Philippines, China, Ethiopia, Ghana, and India.
  • Service missions to Puerto Rico and Nazareth Farm in West Virginia.
  • School Sisters of Notre Dame MAP trips to Arizona and Mexico;  San Antonio and McAllen Texas and Caroline House in Bridgeport, CT, allows students to gain insight into some of the complex issues facing migrants and challenges surrounding immigration reform as well as spend time serving those marginalized.
  • Model UN students have travelled annually to colleges including Harvard, Dartmouth and Cornell and some individual students have attended international conferences including Harvard China.
  • Annual visit to the United Nations for the Day of the Girl.
  • Art & Humanities students take full advantage of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City
  • The Office of Academic and College Counseling run annual College Bus Trips which have included day-long visits to schools in Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
  • Eighth Grade Trip to Woodloch Resort.
