Transfer Students Application

AHA welcomes transfer applicants who possess a strong academic record and where there is a curriculum match to Holy Angels, which cannot be guaranteed.  Applications will not be reviewed until all steps in the application process are complete.

Transfers into 11th or 12th grade are only considered where there are genuine extenuating circumstances and require a personal interview.

In order to begin your online admissions file, we encourage you to submit your application early.  All other steps in the application process must be submitted by the dates indicated below:

January Start Date: December 1
September Start Date: June 1

1. Complete the AHA Online Transfer Application
To submit an application, a parent/guardian will be required to create an account with a unique username and password to access our online community and Applicant Portal. Once created, students and parents can complete the application, upload transcripts, view checklist due dates and check on the status of their application.

2. Upload School Transcripts and Standardized Test Scores
Parents/Guardians must upload transcripts through the checklist in their Applicant Portal.  Parents/guardians should only request unofficial transcripts be released to them once 1st quarter/trimester grades of the current school year are available. They may then be uploaded in a single document with any previous years to the checklist tab. Hard copy/email is not accepted.

3. Send Online Recommendation Forms to three teachers
A separate online recommendation form must be completed by your math, English and one additional teacher/guidance counselor through your applicant portal checklist.  Hard copy/email is not accepted.

4. Register for the Entrance Exam  – Upper Level SSAT

The SSAT is an admissions test used by independent schools worldwide. Each year our Admissions Committee reviews applicant score reports along with transcripts and other standardized test scores to determine academic readiness for AHA’s curriculum as well as initial placements, if accepted.

There are three ways to take the SSAT.  We encourage you to register early for your preferred date.

  1. Computer-Based SSAT at Home

  2. Computer-Based Testing at a Prometric Testing Center

  3. Paper-Based testing administered at approved testing centers or by educational consultants.  AHA offers limited testing dates on our campus throughout the year.  Please call the admissions office for dates and details.

*NOTE* It is not recommended that students take the SSAT more than one time. AHA only accepts ONE score report and does not super score (take the highest scores from multiple tests). Only one score report may be uploaded to the Applicant Portal.

Students with disabilities who require testing accommodations must apply through the SSAT website. Approved accommodations are for the SSAT only and may differ from academic accommodations available to students at Academy of the Holy Angels.

5. A personal interview may be required
You will be notified by phone should either requirement apply to you.

International students whose native language is not English are required to submit English language proficiency test scores from the TOEFL exam. These scores are in addition to the requirements outlined above.
